The design festival STRELKA 2014 will mark 100 years since the start of
World War I. “World War I – 100” is a poster competition
dedicated to the war that forever changed the world, led to the death of
millions of people and to the emergency of fascism; the war that caused
revolutions and destroyed empires. It’s the period when for the first
time in human history weapons of mass destruction were used.
The STRELKA
is open
to both professionals and students from any field of design.
Participants can look for inspiration in any topic connected to WWI.
They are allowed to use posters created before, as well as the ones
prepared specially for the contest.
The works selected by the Selection Committee will be exposed at the
festival and published in the final catalog of the design festival
STRELKA.
Participation is free of charge.
The quantity of works provided by one participant is not limited.
Works and application forms are accepted untill
the
16th of
March, 2014
The works will be evaluated by the Selection Committee.

The works will be selected by voting for the festival final. The
finalists’ posters will be viewed by the Jury and the best works will
become laureates of the festival.
File requirements:
For exposition: 1000 mm high, CMYK, 250 dpi, JPG (without grip).
For catalogue: 210 mm high, CMYK, 300 dpi, JPG (without grip).
The participants are self responsible for not violating the author’s
rights.
The organizing committee has the right to use the submitted posters for
promoting design as artistic activity and the festival as a professional
arena for designers with author’s indication.
